NCCC icers knock off U of R

Niagara County Community College put 57 shots on net en route to a 3-1 win over the University of Rochester on Friday night at the Genesee Valley Ice Complex. The Thunderwolves improved to 8-1-0 after receiving a forfeit from the Yellow Jackets on Saturday night.

The freshmen trio of Arron Comeau, Anthony Miller and Nick Simon each had a goal in Friday's win. Classmate Charlie Nuttle recorded two assists and sophomore goaltender Trevor Goodyear made 18 saves in net.

The T-Wolves return to action at Noon Sunday for a rivalry game vs. Erie Community College. The game will be played at the Cheektowaga Rec Center.
