NCCC sweeps top spots at Lazers event

Niagara County Community College took each of the top five spots at the inaugural Lazers Lakeshore Challenge in sunny conditions on Sunday afternoon. The Thunderwolves totaled 311 strokes at the Par-72 Lakeshore Yacht & Country Club. Jefferson Community College was runner-up with 339 strokes.

NCCC freshman Sean Barrett was the medalist for the second consecutive day, finishing with a four-over-par 76. Freshman Leo Camilloni was second (78) after winning a match of cards with classmate Zac Golibersuch (78). First-year player Matt Whelan was fourth with a 79 and fellow frosh Zachary Litwin took fifth with an 81.

On the women's side, freshman McCarthy Lang picked up medalist honors for the fourth time in five outings this spring. Lang fired an impressive round of 91.
