NCCC takes first at Panther Invite

Niagara County Community College opened the long-awaited golf season with an impressive 37-stroke victory at the annual Tompkins-Cortland Community College Panther Invitational this past Friday. The Thunderwolves accumulated 304 strokes at the Par-71 Elm Tree Golf Club. Jefferson Community College was second with 341 strokes. 

NCCC freshman Sean Barrett was the men's medalist after firing a two-over-par 73. Barrett notched five birdies in the round. Classmate Leo Camilloni was one stroke back (74) to finish as runner-up, while fellow frosh Zac Golibersuch carded a 78, sophomore Cameron Cswaykus shot 79 and freshman Matt Whelan shot 82.

On the women's side, N-Trip freshman McCarthy Lang was medalist with a 91. Her teammate and sister, Kennedy Lang, was third with a 101.
