Niagara County Community College had its season end after finishing 1-2 at this past week's NJCAA Division II Championship hosted by Danville Area Community College in Danville, Illinois. The Thunderwolves finished the year with an overall record of 30-3.
No. 2 Niagara CCC 72, No. 15 Central CC-Columbus 70
The Thunderwolves shot over 44 percent and had 10 players in the score column as they advanced to the quarterfinals with a nail-biting win.
Freshman guard Oumaru Hydara led the team with 12 points off the bench. Classmate JaVaughn Jones added 11 points and sophomore guard Lamar Lovelace netted 10 points.
No. 7 Milwaukee Area Tech 79, No. 2 Niagara CCC 65
The eventual National Champion Stormers shot a blistering 52 percent and built a large halftime lead on their way to the upset victory. NCCC, meanwhile, shot just 32 percent.
Lovelace had 15 points and six rebounds and sophomore forward Aaron Miller chipped in with 13 points and seven boards.

Despite 20 points from Lovelace, the T-Wolves weren't able to withstand a late 9-0 Henry Ford run that broke open a tie game in the consolation bracket. The Hawks were red hot from the field, shooting 58 percent.
Miller finished with 15 points and four rebounds, while sophomore guard Allen Fordham and freshman forward Jaral Farmer each had 11 points.
