NCCC splits two games at MLK Classic

Niagara County Community College split a pair of games at this weekend's annual Monroe College Martin Luther King Jr. Classic in New Rochelle. The Thunderwolves moved their overall record to 14-7 heading into Wednesday's conference opener at Monroe Community College (7 p.m. tip). 

Monroe College 99, Niagara CCC 82

NCCC started strong, but gave up 58 points after intermission to the Div. I Mustangs. NCCC freshman Jamyier Patton had 17 points, six rebounds and three assists in the loss, while sophomore Julian Cunningham netted 16. Freshman Bobby Beilein had 13 and classmate Jalen Duff added 10.

Niagara CCC 96, SUNY Rockland 82

N-Trip netted 60 second-half points on its way to a bounceback victory. Cunningham had a game-high 21 points and six rebounds, while Duff scored 12 and Beilein finished with 11 points and four boards off the bench.
