Men's hoops season ends in regionals

SUNY Niagara had its season come to a close after a gut-wrenching 92-88 loss to rival SUNY Erie in the semifinals of the annual Region III Division II Tournament this past weekend at Monroe Community College.

The Thunderwolves led by seven with less than five minutes remaining, but could not hold off the hot-shooting Kats. SUNY Niagara finished its season at 19-12 overall.

Sophomore Julian Cunningham had 19 points and six rebounds in his final game for the royal, black and gold. Freshman Jamyier Patton added 19 points and four steals and sophomore Matthew Cleveland finished with 17 points and seven rebounds.

The T-Wolves had strong contributions off the bench as well - freshman Jaeden Bynoe had 17 points and classmate Bobby Beilein scored 12 points.
