NCCC blanked by Timberwolves

Niagara County Community College returned to its home pitch, but its offensive struggles continued in a 5-0 Region III setback to visiting SUNY Adirondack on Saturday afternoon.

NCCC dropped to 0-3 both overall and in regional play, while the Timberwolves improved to 2-3, 1-2.

Adirondack jumped out to an early first-half advantage and N-Trip could never recover as freshman Jakob Korte recorded the team's lone shot on goal.

Freshman goalkeeper Sammy Baker made three saves in the loss.

Garrett Hedge scored twice to lead a balanced Timberwolves attack.

NCCC has a quick turnaropund as it hosts another Mountain Valley Conference foe - Hudson Valley Community College - at Noon Sunday.
