NCCC drops tight contest at rival Kats

Niagara County Community College battled for 90 minutes, but came out on the wrong end of a 1-0 decision against Region III rival Erie Community College on Friday afternoon at ECC's South campus.

The Thunderwolves fell to 0-8-2 on the season, while the Kats are now 2-6.

NCCC freshman Joseph Jenkins put together four shots, but none could get past the ECC goalkeeper.

NCCC's backstop, freshman Sammy Baker, made six saves in the setback.

Dunuvan Braga scored the game's lone goal with about 20 minutes left in regulation.

N-Trip returns to action at 4 p.m. Wednesday when it hosts Finger Lakes Community College.
