NCCC booters drop home finale

Niagara County Community College rounded out the home portion of their schedule with a 2-0 Region III loss to visiting Finger Lakes Community College on Wednesday afternoon.

The Thunderwolves fell to 0-9-2, while the Lakers picked up their first win of the year and improved to 1-10.

FLCC's Yohan Coleman and Cameron Rynders scored within three minutes of each other midway through the first half for the game's only offense.

NCCC freshman Joseph Jenkins had three shots, but just one reached the FLCC net. Freshman goalkeeper Sammy Baker made four saves before exiting with an injury.

The Thunderwolves wrap up the 2022 season at 4 p.m. Wed. Oct. 19 when they visit nationally-ranked Genesee Community College.
