Thunderwolves remain scoreless

Niagara County Community College remained scoreless on the young season as it dropped a 5-0 Region III contest to visiting Hudson Valley Community College on Sunday afternoon.

The Thunderwolves fell to 0-4 both overall and in regional play, while the Vikings moved to 3-1-1, 3-0-1.

NCCC trailed just 1-0 at the half before HVCC's Abbas Ghulam put the game out of reach with a hat trick in a 17-minute span of the second period.

N-Trip freshman goalkeeper Sammy Baker made 10 saves, while classmate Joseph Jenkins had the team's lone two shots - neither of which reached the net.

The T-Wolves return to action at 2 p.m. Saturday when NJCAA Div. I Monroe Community College visits for a Western New York Athletic Conference contest.
