NCCC struggles in second half vs. Jayhawks

Niagara County Community College played to a scoreless tie in the opening 45 minutes before it allowed six second-half goals in a 6-0 Region III setback to visiting Jamestown Community College on Saturday afternoon. 

The Thunderwolves fell to 0-6, while the Jayhawks improved to 5-3-2.

N-Trip was out-shot 38-3 overall and 14-1 on corner kicks. Freshman goalkeeper Sammy Baker finished with 16 saves.

The freshman trio of Jacob Forte, Joseph Jenkins and Augustine Bonane recorded the lone shots in defeat.

Alex Watt and Jesse Plaatjes had two goals apiece for JCC.

The T-Wolves return to action at 2 p.m. Wednesday when they travel to Flash Fields to take on Villa Maria College in non-conference action.
