Niagara County Community College was faced with a tall task against NJCAA Div. I Monroe Community College and came out on the wrong end of a 9-0 Western New York Athletic Conference decision on Saturday afternoon. The host Thunderwolves slipped to 0-5, while the Tribunes improved to 4-1.
Freshmen Jacob Forte and Joseph Jenkins had the lone scoring opportunities for NCCC, which was out-shot 25-2. Freshman goalkeeper Sammy Baker made seven saves between the pipes.
Seywan Bayram, Niccolo Moretti and Nils Boyungs each had two goals for MCC.
The T-Wolves return to the pitch at 2 p.m. Saturday for a Region III tilt vs. visiting Jamestown Community College.
