Niagara County Community College had its softball season end at this past weekend's Region III Division III B District semifinals. The Thunderwolves, seeded second in the tournament, finished the year 27-16 overall.
Onondaga CC 10, Niagara CCC 7
NCCC sophomore Maggiemay Murrins was 1-for-2 with three RBIs, but the T-Wolves fell behind 6-0 early and never recovered. Sophomore Mackenzie Gozdziak had two hits and scored twice in the loss.
Onondaga CC 12, Niagara CCC 11
N-Trip dug itself an early nine-run hole and could not complete the comeback. Freshman Samantha Steindel was 3-for-5 with three RBIs and Murrins went 2-for-3 with three runs scored.
