Ballo earns All-American honors

Niagara County Community College sophomore point guard Aichata Ballo was recently named to the NJCAA Division II All-American third team. Ballo is the sixth player in program history to earn the honor. It is also the fifth consecutive season that NCCC has had a women's basketball player named an All-American.

Ballo averaged 11.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 3.6 steals per game for the Thunderwolves, who finished 29-5 and won their fifth consecutive Region III championship. Ballo also netted a career-best 31 points in a victory over Catawba Valley Community College at the NJCAA Div. II Tournament in Port Huron, Michigan.
