Niagara County Community College made the long trek to Maryland and came back with an 83-45 non-conference win over host Hagerstown Community College on Saturday afternoon.
The Thunderwolves improved to 6-2 overall, while the Hawks fell to 1-5.
NCCC freshman Alita Carey-Santangelo had a game-high 18 points and nine rebounds to lead the winners. Sophomotre Ashley Tucker added 16 points and five boards.
Also for N-Trip, sophomore Aichata Ballo stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, 11 rebounds, nine steals and seven assists. Sophomore Ashlynn Johnson scored 11 points.
The T-Wolves led 52-18 at the half and held a large 61-32 edge on the glass. Chloe Bittner had 14 points for HCC.
NCCC returns to the court at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday for a Western New York Athletic Conference road tilt at rival Jamestown Community College.
