Kuhn takes first at Jamestown Open

Niagara County Community College had nine wrestlers finish among the top six in their respective weight classes at the annual Jamestown Community College Open on Sunday.

NCCC freshman Anthony Kuhn was a standout at 125 pounds, winning four matches - three via pinfall and one by technical fall. Classmate Wes Licht was sixth in the same weight class.

Other first-place finishers for N-Trip included: freshman Cole French (133) and freshman Justin McDougald (174). Freshman Nik Voelker was second at 149, losing to former NCCC All-American Freddy Eckles in the finals.

Freshman Matt Ash was third at 133, freshman Warren McDougald took fourth at 184 and the freshman tandem of Zach Ash (141) and Ameer Ladd (285) finished in fifth.

The Thunderwolves return to the mats this weekend for the Henry Ford College Duals.
