NCCC wrestling hosts Thunderwolves Open

In preparation for the start of the regular season in January, Niagara County Community College played host to the annual Thunderwolves Open this past weekend.

NCCC had five wrestlers participate in the open event, all under the label of unattached for certification and eligibility purposes. 

Matt Ash, a returning NJCAA Tournament qualifier, picked up a pair of pins to take home first place in a very competitive 133-pound division.

Another returning Nationals participant, Maurice Jackson, took fourth place at 285 pounds after going 1-2 at the event.

Other place finishers for the T-Wolves' unattached squad included: Zack Ash (141, 5th), Nikolas Voelker (157, 6th) and Casey Cooper (197, 6th).
