NCCC wins twice at Garrett Duals

Niagara County Community College went 2-0 at this past weekend's Garrett College Duals. The Thunderwolves, who beat the host Lakers 33-12 and Bergen Community College 30-21, are now 3-0 overall on the young season.

NCCC freshman Josh Gill (125 pounds) finished the event 3-0, including a pinfall, on his way to NJCAA Region III Wrestler of the Week honors.

Sophomore Nikalis Voelker (157) and freshman Trevon Mathews (285) each went 2-0 with single victories credited to Hassan Dobbins (149), Cortez Henderson (174), Simon Lingle (184), Javion Carter (285) and last week's NJCAA Region III Wrestler of the Week Joel Nivar (197).

N-Trip is next in action at 6 p.m. Tuesday for the inaugural Wolfpack Cup. The T-Wolves will face rival Jamestown CC, while local high school and youth wrestlers will be participating on adjoining mats.
