Niagara County Community College couldn't quite keep up with a fast-charging Hudson Valley Community College squad as it dropped an 8-3 Region III contest to the visiting Vikings on Sunday afternoon.
N-Trip fell to 0-3 both overall and in regional play, while HVCC improved to 2-2, 1-2.
NCCC sophomore Kara Seguin kept her torrid scoring pace up with another pair of tallies, while freshman Kasey Miranto lit the lamp for the first time in her collegiate career.
Sophomores Michaela Reed and Kaitlyn LaRuffa earned assists for the T-Wolves, who trailed just 3-2 at intermission.
Maggie Ryan found the back of the net four times to lead the Vikings' offense.
The Thunderwolves return to action at Noon Saturday when NJCAA Div. I power Monroe Community College visits for a Western New York Athletic Conference clash.
