Thunderwolves drop tight game in OT

Niagara County Community College dropped a 93-87 back-and-forth overtime thriller to host Erie Community College in Region III action on Wednesday night. The No. 13 Thunderwolves held several leads throughout, but time after time the No. 9 Kats came up with clutch buckets. NCCC drops to 20-4 overall and 4-1 in regional play. 

Sophomore point guard Nigel Scantlebury continued his strong play, finishing with a game-high 26 points, six assists and five rebounds. Classmate Marcellus Cooper put together his best performance of the season, netting 21 points to go with 10 rebounds. Sophomore forward William Kondrat added 11 points and four boards in the loss.

Next up for NCCC is a trip to Mercyhurst North East. Action is set to begin at 3 p.m. Saturday.
