NCCC splits at Monroe College Classic

Following a month-long layoff, Niagara County Community College split a pair of games at this past weekend's MLK Classic hosted by Monroe College. The Thunderwolves are now 11-7 overall on the year.

Monroe College 85, Niagara CCC 61

Freshman Kendra Lawton finished with 13 points and nine rebounds against the NJCAA Division I opponent. Classmate Shilah Parker added 11 points, seven rebounds and four steals for NCCC.

Niagara CCC 77, Herkimer College 55

Sophomore captain Diamond Fedrick poured in 28 points to go with her 16 rebounds in the lopsided win. Parker had 21 points, nine boards, seven assists and four steals.

Next up for the T-Wolves is a home regional contest slated for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday against Genesee Community College.
