Niagara County Community College won a pair of tight ballgames against visiting Monroe Community College on Saturday afternoon. The Thunderwolves are now 5-3 overall, while the NJCAA Div. II Tribunes slipped to 6-4. Sunday's doubleheader was postponed due to rain. It will be made up at 1 p.m. Tuesday at MCC.

Freshman Chad Gartland allowed just two hits, no earned runs and struck out eight batters in the win. Classmate Andrew Fairbrother was 4-for-4 and freshman Cole Laskowski had two RBIs.

Sophomore Ryan Peterson went the distance and gave up just five hits and no earned runs. Sophomore Scottie O'Bryan and freshman Bryce Morre each ripped an RBI double in the victory.
