Niagara County Community College out-hit its counterparts Tuesday afternoon, but still left Monroe Community College with a pair of close losses in Region III play. The Thunderwolves are now 5-5 overall, while the Tribunes improved to 8-4. NCCC returns to the diamond on Friday and Saturday for a four-game, home-and-home set against rival Erie Community College.

Sophomore Scottie O'Bryan had two hits and two RBIs for NCCC, which battled back from an early 4-0 deficit. Freshman Cal Brazier finished 2-for-2 with a double.

O'Bryan led the offense again as he banged out three hits, including a pair of two-baggers, and an RBI. Freshman Chris Tani also doubled twice and had an RBI. First-year pitcher Zach LaPlante tossed three innings of one-hit relief.
