Peterson takes home WNYAC award

Niagara County Community College sophomore pitcher Ryan Peterson was recently named Western New York Athletic Conference Senior Male Athlete of the Year following a vote of the conference's athletic directors. 

The southpaw was tops in the country with 10 wins, seven complete games, 74 innings pitched and 73 strikeouts on his way to NJCAA Division III Pitcher of the Year honors. He was second in the nation with a 1.22 ERA as NCCC advanced to the NJCAA Division III World Series for the first time since 2017. The Thunderwolves finished as runners-up for the third time in school history (2012 & 2017).

Othere honors the George Mason signee earned this past season included: NJCAA Division III first-team All-American, Region III Division III first team, Western New York Athletic Conference Player of the Year and Western New York Athletic Conference first team.
