SUNY Niagara tames Kats at BCA game
SUNY Niagara picked up its third consecutive win to start the year, knocking off rival Erie Community College 7-4 in its annual Breast Cancer Awareness game on Saturday night at the Hyde Park Ice Pavilion. The Thunderwolves improved to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in UNYCHL D2 Metro action.
Anthony Miller had a team-best two goals, while Chase Schmidl added a single tally and a strong two-way game to lead the Wolfpack. Schmidl was named Player of the Game by the coaching staff. Other single-goal scorers for SUNY Niagara included: Nick Simon, Kevin Carle, Quinn Walton and Ryan Haynes.
The T-Wolves return to action at 8:30 p.m. Sat. Oct. 26 for a contest vs. Canisius University at LECOM Harbor Center.
