NCCC wins home tourney for 5th straight year

Niagara County Community College had another strong weekend on the links with a pair of top-two team finishes and a couple of strong individual performances. The Thunderwolves, who have finished among the top two teams at all five Region III events this spring, will wrap up regular season play with the annual Jefferson Community College Invitational on Friday at Elms Golf Club in Sandy Creek, New York.

Jamestown CC Invitational

The T-Wolves battled through cold and windy conditions to finish second with 352 strokes - 15 behind first-place Jefferson Community College - at the par-72 Chautauqua Golf Club. Freshman Fred Waterman led NCCC with an 82, which was good enough for third place individually. Classmate Sam Hyman shot an 86 and sophomore Murphy Lang carded an 89. On the women's side, sophomore Emily Neidrauer continued her strong play with another medalist honor after firing an 87.
