NCCC begins season with 2nd-place finish
Niagara County Community College kicked off its long-awaited 2021 spring golf season with a second-place finish at this past Saturday's annual Tompkins-Cortland Community College Invitational at Elm Tree Golf Course in Cortland.
The Thunderwolves had 339 total strokes, just four behind first-place Jefferson Community College (335) at the firm and fast Par-71 track.
NCCC freshman Sam Hyman finished third in the men's division, carding a 79. Jamestown's Anthony Gullo was the medalist with an even-par 71.
Also for N-Trip, sophomore Murphy Lang had an 86 and freshmen Fred Waterman and Cameron Cswaykus each shot 87.
The T-Wolves return to the links on Friday for the Mohawk Valley Community College Invitational at Oneida Community Golf Club.
