Lang is medalist at MVCC Invite

Niagara County Community College sophomore McCarthy Lang continued her strong start to the season with a third consecutive first-place finish at the annual Mohawk Valley Community College Invitational on Friday afternoon at Oneida Community Golf Club. Lang was the medalist with a 92, which was seven shots clear of the runner-up.

On the men's side, the Thunderwolves took second place after losing a tiebreaker to Onondaga Community College. Both teams had 324 strokes, but the Lazers' fifth player had a better individual score.

NCCC sophomore Sean Barrett carded a five-over par 76, which was one shot back of first place. Classmate Zac Golibersuch added an 80 and sophomore Leo Camilloni had an 82.

The T-Wolves have a quick turnaround with the annual SUNY Adirondack Tournament set for Saturday morning.
