Three-time defending regional champion Niagara County Community College finished in second place at this past week's windswept Region III Championships hosted by the Par-72 Glen Oak Golf Club. The Thunderwolves finished with 670 total strokes, which was 11 back of Onondaga Community College.

NCCC sophomore Sean Barrett finished in third place individually with rounds of 76 and 79. He was four shots behind Region III champion Evan Crouse of Herkimer College. Classmate Leo Camilloni was 12th with rounds of 78 and 89. Barrett, Camilloni and fellow returning All-American Zac Golibersuch qualified for next month's NJCAA Div. III Championships at Chautauqua Golf Club.

On the women's side, N-Trip sophomore McCarthy Lang earned medalist honors with impressive rounds of 90 and 88. Her two-day total of 178 was five shots better than Grace Kincaid of SUNY Adirondack. Lang, another returning All-American, will make her second consecutive appearance at next month's National Tournament.
