Firkins medalist at Hawk Open

Sophomore Adam Firkins took medalist honors at Wednesday's annual Hawk Open hosted by Hilbert College at Peek'n Peak Golf Club. Firkins fired an even-par 72 at the difficult Upper Course. He was three shots clear of the field, which included mostly four-year student-athletes. 

The Thunderwolves finished with 329 total strokes, which was good for third place. Pitt-Greensburg (316) won the event.

Sophomore Teddy Swiech competed as an individual and finished in fourth place with a four-over par 76. Classmate Eliel Rodriguez was a top-15 finisher with an 82.
