
Wolves win in windy conditions
SUNY Niagara battled gale-force winds and tough pin placements en route to its third consecutive team win on Friday at the Hudson Valley Community College Invitational.
The Thunderwolves had 325 total strokes - five better than the host Vikings - at the Par-70 Normanside Country Club.
Freshman Anthony Gagliardi tied for first place with an 80, but lost on the fourth tiebreaker featuring a match-of-cards.
Sophomore Ryan Kates was fourth with an 81, while freshman Finn Graham and sophomore Eliel Rodriguez tied for fifth with matching 82s. Sophomore Teddy Swiech posted an 83.
The Wolfpack returns to action at 11 a.m. Saturday for the annual SUNY Adirondack Invitational at Hiland Park CC.
