T-Wolves split at Monroe Classic

Niagara County Community College split a pair of games at this past weekend's Monroe College MLK Classic. NCCC, which was ranked No. 9 in the previous NJCAA Div. II poll, moved to 15-3 overall on the year. Next up for the T-Wolves is their conference opener at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday as Mercyhurst North East comes to town.

Monroe College 94, Niagara CCC 82

Sophomore point guard Nigel Scantlebury had 17 points and four assists, but the Thunderwolves could not recover from a 13-point halftime deficit. Sophomore wing Will Kondrat finished with 15 points and six boards and freshman Jack Capen netted 13 points off the bench.

Niagara CCC 89, Union County CC 66

Sophomore forward David Petit-Homme notched 21 points and nine rebounds as NCCC shot 50 percent from the field on its way to a big win. Sophomore guard Hunter Anderson added 18 points, 10 rebounds and six assists and Kondrat contributed 13 points and nine boards.
