Niagara County Community College had four players in double figures as it raced past host Bryant & Stratton College (Albany), 112-76, on Wednesday night at the St. Anne Institute. The Thunderwolves, who were receiving votes in the latest NJCAA Div. II polls, improved to 5-0 overall while the Bobcats fell to 2-3.
Freshman Justin Hendrick led a parade of 13 NCCC scorers with 17 points. Classmate Allen Fordham scored 16 points, freshman Taylor Sanders netted 15 points and fellow first-year player Jamond Jones chipped in with 11 points. NCCC, which led 51-35 at the half, hit 11 3-pointers in the victory.
Jamil Hood Jr. had a game-high 21 points for BSC Albany.
Next up for the T-Wolves is a road tilt at Region III foe Jamestown Community College. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m. Friday.
