Niagara County Community College couldn't overcome a tough shooting night in a 68-66 setback to host Jamestown Community College in Region III action on Wednesday night. Despite the loss, NCCC still holds a 3-1 edge in the regular-season series vs. JCC and has earned the right to host the regional title game on Sat. April 3. The Thunderwolves are 7-3 overall and 3-1 in regional games, while the Jayhawks moved to 4-4, 1-3.
Freshmen Justin Hendrick and Taylor Sanders each netted 11 points to lead N-Trip. Classmate Zechariah Harris-Scott added eight points and 10 rebounds. NCCC shot just 37 percent from the field, 21 percent from the 3-point line and 58 percent from the charity stripe.
Isaac Allen had a game-high 26 points for Jamestown CC.
Next up for the T-Wolves is a matchup with WVU Potomac State College. The game is slated for 3 p.m. Saturday at Westmoreland Community College, a neutral site in Youngwood, PA.
