Thunderwolves pull away from Lackawanna

Niagara County Community College scored 52 points after intermission on its way to an 85-59 non-conference win over visiting Lackawanna College on Sunday afternoon. The Thunderwolves, who led 33-27 at the half, improve to 1-0 while the Falcons dropped to 1-2. 

NCCC had 13 players get onto the score sheet with sophomore Kailee White's 23-point outing leading the way. Freshman Justin Hendrick added 14 points, four rebounds and four steals, while classmate Naz'ea Fowlks chipped in with 11 points and four boards. The T-Wolves also forced 28 turnovers in the victory.

Malik Smith and A'quele Adderley had 15 points each for Lackawanna, which was coming off a win over Region III opponent Jamestown Community College. 

Next up for NCCC is a home regional matchup against the Jayhawks at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
