Thunderwolves blow past JCC for regional title

Niagara County Community College raced past visiting Jamestown Community College, 99-57, in the Region III Division II championship game this past Saturday afternoon. It is the first regional crown for NCCC since 2017 and the sixth in school history. The Thunderwolves are now 10-3 overall, while the Jayhawks fell to 4-5. 

NCCC freshman Justin Hendrick had a team-high 18 points as five Wolves finished in double figures. Sophomore Kailee White had 17 points and six assists, classmate Adam Hosseini notched 15 points and nine rebounds, freshman Allen Fordham netted 13 points and fellow first-year player Lamar Lovelace had 11 points off the bench. The Thunderwolves held a 20-point lead at halftime and poured it on with 50 points in the second 20 minutes. 

Isaac Allen had a game-high 21 points for JCC.

The Thunderwolves advance to the NJCAA Div. II East District Tournament this coming weekend at Raritan Valley Community College. The seedings and game times for the four-team tournament are still TBA.
