NCCC uses balanced effort to top Bucs

Niagara County Community College had seven players in double figures as it raced past host Atlantic Cape Community College, 105-84, in non-conference action on Friday night. The No. 13 Thunderwolves improved to 5-1 overall, while the Bucs fell to 3-1.

NCCC freshman guard Justin Hendrick had 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists in the victory. The T-Wolves racked up 25 assists as a unit.

Also for N-Trip, freshman guard Faybion Prather had a career-high 17 points off the bench and freshman forward Matthew Cleveland earned a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

David Coit had a game-high 33 points for Atlantic Cape.

Niagara CCC has a quick turnaround as it returns to action at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mercer County Community College.
