T-Wolves fall in regular-season finale

Niagara County Community College had a rough shooting night as it dropped a 66-63 Western New York Athletic Conference contest to visiting Erie Community College on Friday evening.

The No. 15 Thunderwolves fell to 24-6 overall and 8-1 in WNYAC play, while the rival Kats moved to 13-8, 5-4.

NCCC freshman Justin Hendrick had 20 points and five rebounds, but the Thunderwolves shot just 32 percent from the field as a unit. That figure included a 23-percent clip from 3-point range.

Also for N-Trip, fellow frosh Lamar Lovelace netted 19 points.

Justin Morety had a game-high 21 points for ECC.

The T-Wolves will look to rebound at 2:30 p.m. Sunday when they host the Region III Championship. The Kats and Monroe Community College will play at 2 p.m. Saturday to determine Sunday's matchup.
