T-Wolves fall at Lakeland CC

Niagara County Community College, ranked No. 13 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, dropped a 72-65 non-conference decision at Lakeland Community College this past Wednesday. NCCC dropped to 1-1, while the Lakers improved to 3-0.

The Thunderwolves, who trailed by just one possession with less than six minutes left, had a rough shooting night (39 percent from the field and 26 percent from 3-point range) and were whistled for 24 fouls in the loss. 

NCCC freshman forward Aaron Miller had 11 points and eight rebounds, while freshman guards Justin Hendrick and Lamar Lovelace each had 10 points in the loss.

Marcos Vazquez scored a game-high 15 points off the bench for Lakeland CC.

N-Trip returns to action at 7 p.m. Saturday when it takes on nationally-ranked Howard CC in the annual NCCC Tip-Off Classic.
