T-Wolves use pressure to top Mercer

Leading by just two at the half, Niagara County Community College turned up the defensive pressure on its way to a 79-58 non-conference road win at Mercer County Community College on Saturday afternoon. The No. 13 Thunderwolves are now 6-1 overall, while Mercer dropped to 1-6.

NCCC freshman guard Justin Hendrick canned four 3-pointers on his way to 16 points in the win. The T-Wolves forced 25 turnovers, 15 of which came after intermission.

N-Trip freshman guards Lamar Lovelace and Allen Fordham netted 13 points apiece, while freshman forward Aaron Miller contributed 11 points and seven rebounds.

Nyzhir Brown had 14 points for Mercer.

Niagara CCC returns to the hardwood at 7 p.m. Tuesday when it visits Lorain County Community College.
