NCCC cagers move to 2-0

Niagara County Community College continued its strong start to the season with a convincing 95-65 non-conference win over visiting Bryant & Stratton College (Ohio) on Sunday afternoon. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 3 in the NJCAA Div. II preseason poll, improved to 2-0 overall.

NCCC freshman Jamyier Patton had a breakout performance, finishing with 25 points and four rebounds. The T-Wolves shot a blistering 52 percent from both the field and 3-point range in the win. They also built up a 24-point halftime lead.

Several others had solid performances for the royal, gold and black including sophomore guard Julian Cunningham, who finished with 17 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals. Freshman Cam Dyer added 14 points, five boards and four blocks and classmate Navary Sandy chipped in with 10 points, five rebounds and two blocks off the bench.

N-Trip returns to the court at 7 p.m. Tuesday for a non-conference road tilt at Corning Community College.
