SUNY Niagara split a pair of hotly-contested games at this past weekend's Monroe University Mixer. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 17 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, moved to 16-3 overall. The Wolfpack returns to the court at 2 p.m. Sat. at Frederick Community College - the first of three games in as many days in Maryland.
Monroe University 94, SUNY Niagara 88
Freshman Chioke Marshall had a career-best 38 points as the T-Wolves gave the Div. I Mustangs all they could handle. Sophomore Camron Dyer added 13 points and five rebounds, while classmate Jalen Duff stuffed the stat sheet with 10 points, six assists, five boards and three steals. SUNY Niagara canned 16 three-pointers, but went just 4-for-11 from the charity stripe.

Marshall had another huge outing, finishing with 31 points, four assists, four steals and three rebounds in a matchup of ranked NJCAA Div. II teams. Freshman Reggie Smith Jr. had 15 points and five rebounds off the bench, Dyer scored 12 and Duff chipped in with 10 points, six assists and four boards. The T-Wolves shot 53 percent from the field in the victory.
