He helped lead the Purple Eagles to a 19-win season and a CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament (CIT) appearance in 2017-18. The team won 10 road games that season, which tied a school record.

Prior to Niagara, Brown spent three seasons as an assistant coach at LIU-Post. During his time at LIU-Post, the Pioneers compiled a 62–25 record, won two East Coast Conference Championships and twice advanced to the NCAA Div. II tournament.

Brown came to LIU Post after spending two years at St. John’s University as a graduate assistant. He was responsible for creating student-athlete handbooks and assisting with the NCAA Div. I soccer committee.

His other coaching experiences includes a one-year stint at Morris Catholic High School in Denville, N.J. and with the Hoop Heaven Heat AAU program. He has also been a part of numerous camps and tournaments including Five-Star Basketball, Hoop Group, Basketball City, Connecticut Basketball School, St. John's University, NCCC, Daemen University and Rumble in the Bronx.

Brown was a student-athlete on the football field at St. John's in 2002 where he started as a freshman. The program was discontinued the following year.

Brown earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from St. John's (B.S. in Marketing, Jan. 2007; M.P.S. in Sport Management, Sept. 2009). The New Jersey native lives in Niagara Falls with his wife Andrea and son Khamrin.
