Niagara County Community College closed out the home portion of its schedule with a thrilling 1-0 double-overtime Region III win over Fulton-Montgomery CC on Sunday afternoon. NCCC, which was forced to sit several starters due to injuries, is now 5-10-1 overall and 4-7-1 in regional play.
Freshman Zach Sarratori scored the game winner just over a minute into the second overtime session. Classmates Alex Kelly and Maurice Channer were credited with the assists.
Sophomore goalkeeper Ryan Holovics registered the shutout with 10 saves.
Next up is the regular-season finale set for 5 p.m. Wednesday at NJCAA Div. I Monroe CC.
