Niagara County Community College turned up the offensive heat in a 5-1 Region III victory over visiting rival Erie Community College on Tuesday afternoon.
The Thunderwolves are now 3-2 overall and 1-2 in regional play. ECC finishes its season at 0-3-1.
NCCC sophomore David Reilly opened the scoring off a dish from freshman Alex Sanchez. First-year player Fritz Summer made it 2-0 before halftime as he hammered home a pass from sophomore Jacob Fleck.
Freshman Mike Martinez finished off a cross from Reilly, while Fleck netted a goal of his own for the fourth NCCC tally. An own goal by the Kats rounded out the N-Trip scoring.
Freshman Lucas Schiel got the win in net, making four stops behind a stingy T-Wolves' defense.
The Thunderwolves return to action at 4 p.m. Friday when they visit nationally-ranked Tompkins-Cortland Community College.
