NCCC drops tight one to visiting Hornets

Niagara County Community College had a tough time mustering much offense in a 2-1 Region III setback to visiting SUNY Broome this past Saturday.

The Thunderwolves, who had just eight shots on the day, fell to 1-3. The Hornets improved to 1-1.

Luke Taylor and Dontai Greenwood gave SUNY Broome a 2-0 lead before freshman winger A.J. McMillan got the T-Wolves on the board with an unassisted tally in the 80th minute.

Freshman goalkeeper Lucas Schiel made eight saves in goal for NCCC.

N-Trip looks to get back on track at 3 p.m. Sunday when it visits SUNY Adirondack in another pivotal regional contest.
