Niagara County Community College gave up four unanswered goals as it dropped a tough 4-2 Region III tilt to visiting Genesee Community College on Wednesday afternoon.
The Thunderwolves fell to 1-2, while the Cougars - who are receiving votes in the latest NJCAA Division III poll - moved to 3-0.
NCCC freshman striker Jay Yule continued his strong start to the season by netting the game's first goal off a feed from classmate Paul Elanga.
Yule also scored off a penalty kick midway through the second half. He now has a team-best four goals in the season's first three games.
Between Yule's tallies, though, GCC took control of the contest with four consecutive goals - two apiece from Matheus Spina and Nathan Gilhooly.
NCCC freshman goalkeeper Lucas Schiel was credited with eight saves in the loss.
N-Trip returns to action at 3 p.m. Saturday when it hosts SUNY Broome (0-1).
