Niagara County Community College battled heat, humidity, injuries and the nationally-ranked host Herkimer Generals this past Saturday. In the end it was too much to overcome for the Thunderwolves, who lost 8-0 in Region III action to drop to 0-2-1 overall and 0-2-0 in regional play.
Christian Baker netted a pair of goals for the well-balanced Generals, who had seven different goal scorers. Herkimer held an 18-5 advantage in shots on goal.
NCCC returns home for a regional matchup vs. SUNY Broome at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
