Wolves fall to NJCAA D1 opponent

Visiting Niagara County Community College played a solid first half before running out of steam in a 7-1 loss to nationally-ranked NJCAA Div. I Monroe Community College on Wednesday afternoon. The Thunderwolves fell to 0-6-1 overall on the season.

N-Trip was badly out-shot 22-1, but did convert its one shot on goal. Sophomore defender Jacob Korte found the back of the net for the second straight game late in the contest.

NCCC freshmen goalkeepers Landan Rees and Eric Garcia split six saves in goal as they were busy throughout.

The T-Wolves return to Region III Div. III play at 5 p.m. Wed. Sept. 20 when it travels to Cayuga Community College.
