Dixon named to All-Region second team

Niagara County Community College freshman Jordan Dixon was recently selected as a second-team All-Region outfielder following a vote of Region III coaches.

Despite an 11-7 record and a second-place regular-season finish in the Region III Western Division, Dixon was the Thunderwolves' lone representative on the 27-player first and second teams. Corning Community College's Lexi Wood was named Player of the Year and head coach Stacy Johnson was named Coach of the Year.

Dixon, who played both first base and outfield, hit .492 in the leadoff spot. She finished with 31 hits (six doubles, five triples and one home run), 27 runs scored and 18 RBIs. She led NCCC with 16 walks and 16 stolen bases. The southpaw pitcher also won three games in the circle.

It is the fourth consecutive season N-Trip had an All-Region selection (Kelsi Palistrant, 2017; Ana Bryer, 2018; Alisha Scroger, 2019).
